Mandaue Business Movement in response to the call of the times and as the country journeys towards transformation.
All MBM Activities are geared towards developing a sustainable economy where business takes on a leadership role in using environmentally friendly technology, practice social responsibility, integrate human resource development and enforce policies that promote responsible business performance while achieving growth.
About MANDAUE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and INDUSTRY:
The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an organization that has a long and
proud history. Founded in 1965, it has represented the driving force behind the industrial
growth of Mandaue City and Cebu Province for many years.
Today, MCCI has shifted its focus from a purely business support organization to that of
strategic positioning and innovation, promotion of entrepreneurship, creation of a strong
business network and building a globally identifiable brand that will make Mandaue City an
attractive international destination for business and investment.

MANDAUE MARATHON 2010 "RUN for LIFE"August 1, 2010 Parkmall Mandaue City
The marathon will serve as the opening salvo of the MBM events. This will be participated in by
various civic and business organizations in Mandaue and Cebu. Proceeds of the marathon will
be allocated for the benefit of MCCI's medical mission and the Dasig Kabataan Foundation.
ONE CEBU BUSINESS AND SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT August 9, 2010 Cebu International Convention Center
To be attended by top business executives, the business summit has the theme "The Sustainable
Business Revolution: A Call to Action". The intent of the summit is to leave the participants with an understanding of what they need to do to contribute to sustainable development and the
strong commitment to do something about it.
MY BUSINESS IDOL August 26, 2010
The competition will feature the student entrepreneur as the idol. Cebu’s premiere colleges and
universities will vie for the prize which is intended to provide them with the initial capital to launch their own business.
LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL JOB FAIR Augsut 21, 2010
In coordination with the local government of Mandaue the job fair will bring in the different
manufacturing companies located not only in Mandaue but in Cebu,
INTER-AUTO CLUB MEET August 28-30, 2010 Parkmall Mandaue City
Cebu and Mandaue's car clubs will join in the Inter-Auto Club Meet. The event will support
PBSP's Balik Baterya Program.
MEDICAL MISSION August 28, 2010
This activity is intended to benefit the poor families of Mandaue City.
HALANGDON SONGWRITING COMPETITION Sept. 17, 2010
This is a province wide songwriting competition that will choose the theme song for MCCI's
Halangdon Award.
LEADERS FORUM September 24, 2010 Cebu Grand Convention Center
The Leaders Forum is a special leadership event targeted more directly at the highest levels of
leadership in business. It will focus on topics related to the role of government and public
policy. It will present an agenda for business to pursue a creative and positive environment for
enterprise sustainability.
HALANGDON AWARDS AND CHAMBER NIGHT September 24, 2010 Cebu Grand Convention Center
In Cebuano, the word “Halangdon” means highly esteemed, noble, respected.
A culminating activity of MBM 2010 is the awarding of the first HALANGDON award that
