The Visayas Biennale 2010 is an Invitation to all Visual Artists, Art Organizations and Art Institutions.
THE VISAYAS BIENNALE 2010 will have a Theme: "Agi-Anan": Strategies and Subjectivities in ArtMaking from Among Islands and Across Oceans; The Venues will be in SM TradeHall, Cebu Grand Convention and Cebu City Museum on November 16 - 19, 2010 Cebu City, Philippines.
The event is organized by PUSOD, the Open Organization of Cebu Visual Artists, Inc., in cooperation with The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in celebration of the Philippines as the The ASEAN culture capital for 2010-2011. The event explores aesthetic subjects and subjectivities in the production, circulation, and reception of art-making both within and outside the Philippines.
Major Components:
1. The First International Conference on Visayan Art and Culture (1st ICoVAC) with the theme "Padungan"
2. Viva! The Visayan Visual Artists Art Seminar and Workshop Series;
3. "Dunggo: " the 1st Visayas Art Fair;
4. "Tagbo:" National Invitational Curated Exhibition
5. "Agi-anan:" Curated exhibition
6. "Garbo sa Bisaya: Exhibition of Eight Living Legends in Visayan Art
