“Ang Guro” depicts the story of Ma’am Resontoc
(portrayed by Karel Marquez) and how herpassion for teaching influencesthe
lives of her students. Along the vein of popular US TV show, “Glee”, “Ang Guro”
features performance-based musical numbers that highlight the singing and
dancing prowess of Marquez and the rest of the cast.
And, although the play is meant to be light and fun, it also aims to convey a serious message on how genuine education can be gleaned, not only from books, but more importantly, from real, daily life experiences. “Ang Guro” is a life chaging show that touches every heart and will make us appreciate and value our teachers and education more.
