Engr. Joselito V. Baring, president of the PiCHE Cebu Chapter informed that the sewage treatment facility is only one month old and has a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters. It is a treatment plant that processed wastewater thrown into the drainage culvert constructed by the city. Being the first of its kind in the Philippines and the first sewage treatment plant directly funded by a local government unit, it will be a very interesting subject. It also uses an original local technology that is compliant with the thrust of the Department of Science and Technology.
