Bravo to the Filipina who is self-assured, heroic, original. Over the centuries, the Filipino Woman has hurdled the challenges of history, and with great insight, has valiantly transformed herself despite the odds of her time. As a result, she has led us to a wealth of possibilities, enriched our national heritage, and expanded our consciousness of who we are as a people.

Filipina, Bravo! is an account of the brave and enterprising women, who through their lives, hardships, and work, continue to help shape the Filipino's identity as a self-assured and productive citizen. She has proven herself exceptional in running a household, a business empire, a nation. She has left her mark in science and medicine, art and literature, government and politics.
