Jobs Bridging Fair

The job fair, held at the SM City Cebu, was organized by the Coalition for Better Education (CBE) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) 7. Unlike ordinary job fairs, the “Jobs Bridging Fair” gave applicants the chance to attend sessions on entrepreneurship and personality development.
At the job fair, applicants were also able to process their membership in PhilHealth, Pag-ibig and Social Security Service. The National Statistics Office also participated in the job fair.
Tesda chairs CBE’s academe-industries linkage committee. CBE and Tesda organized the activity with the help of Globe Telecommunications, Microsoft, Visayan Electric Company and City Savings Bank.
Among the companies that joined the fair were Sykes, Parklane, Golden Cowrie, Metaphil, Tsuneishi Heavy Industries Inc., Qualfon, E-Performax and JP Morgan Chase. Then, applicants chose from various job openings for customer service representatives, field engineers, office staff, graphic artists, computer programmers, financial analysts and crane operators.
